Opening the global market for Indian vendors, Amazon India has now launched its B2B selling programme allowing Indian sellers and exporters to sell their products and services abroad as well. The programme will get the sellers in front of decision makers of Fortune 500 companies, as well as medium and small corporations across the world.

The B2B global selling is currently present in five markets in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and recently, France. Now Indian exporters/ B2B sellers can register on any of these Amazon marketplaces individually and export to these five countries. Other marketplaces do not have Amazon Business.

Business customers can register for their B2B Global Selling account via Amazon Seller Central and they will be given different revenue sharing models based on their sales.

Besides, it will also offer benefits to Indian sellers such as discounted referral fees for bulk orders, business price and quantity discounts targeted for business customers and single selling account, among others. However, exporters from these five countries will not be able to sell B2B to India at present.

“Amazon’s global selling programme will get sellers in front of decision makers of Fortune 500 companies as well as medium and small corporations across the world,” said Peeyush Nahar, vicepresident of B2B marketplace for Amazon. Nahar said Amazon will offer services and incentives to sellers such as discounted referral fees for bulk orders, cross border payments, procurement processes, and fulfilment services. He also said that sellers will be given different revenue sharing models based on their sales.

Amazon India General Manager and Director, Seller Services, Gopal Pillai said over 32,000 exporters offer over 90 million made-in-India products to customers across Amazons 10 global marketplaces. "The company believes it is an opportune time to further strengthen the programme to enable Indian exporters access to B2C and B2B market in US, UK, Germany, France and Japan," Pillai added.
